Butter Cookies

I have used and tried MANY MANY recipes for cutout cookies and I have fell in love with one.  I have made these 3 times in 3 weeks...in LOVE!  So, this week before Christmas and you are trying to bake try these.

Cut -Out Cookie Indgredients:

1 Cup softened Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 egg
Blend  until creamy
2 TBLSP Orange Juice
1 TBLSP Vanilla
Mix well
2 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
Beat well. cover and put in fridge over night.

Heat oven 400*F . Roll out on lighlty floured surface, one third at a time.   roll out 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness.  Cut with 3 inch cookie cutters.  Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 6-10 minutes or until edges are golden.  Remove and place on wire rack and cool completely.
This is Land O Lakes recipe!

Frosting:
1/3 Cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 TBLSP Milk
beat together
Gradully start adding powdered sugar until you get the right consistency
Food Coloring, if you want

Frost decorate. After dry you can put in freezer, so when you walk past the freezer you can snag a couple. Or if you have will power, you can give them or take them to your Christmas gatherings....I do not have will power.

Have A Great Day:)
