The White one is Sheldon, I call him Wilbur, he looks like Wilbur from Charlotte's Web!
The Spot is Lenerd.
Yes, we watch the Big Bang Theory!

These two came from Nebraska, yes I said Nebraska...Hubby still can't believe it...at least they were delivered and we didn't make a road trip!!!

So close to SUMMER!!!!

Here we go again!

SUMMER!

Yes, SUMMER vacation is so close we can smell it, or is that the cow manure, pig poop or the sheep poop? Or maybe it is the stinky smelly boys, boys really do stink!   MMMM....wait, I think all of that is the smell of summer!  This is the last weekend of the "School Year" and then it is cows, sheep and pigs all day long. With some swimming and running and playing!

Here are a few things we have been doing in the last month:

Boy 1 got to stay home one day from school to watch his beloved be flushed! Yes, this is a 7 year old cow that has to have a darn halter on to move her, put her through a chute etc.  Big babies!

Boy 2 and Boy 3 are the best of buddies

Boy 3 was so excited, he could not contain himself!


So there you have it!  We are really ready for SUMMER!

Pretty Girl

Our boys are falling for a pretty little girl.  All three of them.  This little girl is very cute, but she has had struggles and she is big for her age and I'm pretty sure she will never be a show girl.  This pretty little girl has the best hair, not many curls, just right.  This pretty girl is red and white and has 3 perfect legs and one not so perfect leg. Oh she can run and she can jump, but she has a very crooked front leg.  So the boys tend to her everyday and they baby her and they rub on her and she follows them everywhere and so they have called her "Pretty Girl".   Boy 1 has been with Pretty Girl from moment one and now all three and maybe Momma too are in love with "Pretty Girl"!

Spring....Yet?

We are still here, still plugging along. We have now made it through the 3rd quarter of school..YIPEE...Only 8 more weeks!!!!

We have had a lot of these this past month.

Boy 3 and I have started spending even more time in the barn...playing!

I have started hearing whispers of lambs and barrows.  I have also noticed websites and online sales being mentioned.  The bug may have bitten me as I am even looking for lambs and barrows.  Hubby said South Dakota was to far for lambs, but Cousin A said we can road trip! I love Cousin A:)  Whatever the origin of lambs and barrows, looks like momma better get her walking shoes ready! I can't wait to spend early mornings and late evenings walking with the kids.  Oh please snow and mud go away and lets hope for a speedy 8 weeks so we can have some summer time fun!

Snow Days!

I am starting to believe we live in Alaska not Illinois! The kids did not have school Friday or yesterday (Tuesday) because of all the white stuff.  So, this momma took some pictures.

Seasons

For everyone and every part of our lives have seasons and we have been through a few since my last post.  Some happy, some sad, but all apart of our seasons.  So here are a few pictures, we have had Boy 1's 13th birthday party, some of us have been to Denver to celebrate Boy 1's birthday and then there are a few random pictures.

It really was a sleepless week..Grandpa and Boy 1 were "watching" the show!

 

Princess had to much to see to sleep, she slept the 12 hours home.

 

And here was a little sweety that came right on time!

Break!

I have taken a break from blogging.  Kids were home from school for 17 days and we got into a really great routine.
Sleep until 8am, chores, came in ate breakfast, some went back to the barn, some made beds, some just laid around and played! Lunch at noon, barn, for some. Quite time from 2-3pm, read books, watch movies etc. barn time for some, snacks about 4pm, chore, dinner 6pm., the a movie, bed about 10pm.
  Barn for some means Boy 1 always went, but with the snow and ice and cold weather, once one of the others went, they didn't go back out until evening chore time!
School started bright and early Monday with a 6:30 wake up call! Yep, it was hard and Boy 3 went for the ride to school in PJ's and coat and socks, his shoes were in my purse.  Now on to the week and back to dance and soccer.
I love having the kids home and having fun!
